When I got to Maccheroni I was glad. It was so hot that the still water brought by the middle-aged waiter (more towards old age), sizzled on my lips. The terrace was not the coolest I had seen, so I said to myself: air conditioning would be good! So I stepped in. Big mistake, because there was a lot of work going on; they had had a party and they were re-organizing. Not even the air conditioning was turned on. This is where the bad things end, because what follows is worth all the praises.
Salmon with sage sauce and rice garnish: excellent, grilled exactly the right timing , with a sauce so soft and matching in taste with the fish grill, that it cooled me more than a couple of ice cubes.
The calamari with vegetable garnish, grilled whole, not slices, did its best to outrun the salmon. The result of this competition was an excellent lunch, with a perfect catering service.
Too bad they didn?t have classic tiramisu, only the one with berries, I?m sure that would have topped it well.
Eating at the Maccheroni restaurant is a real delight.
When I entered the restauarant I did not had any expectations at all (just another Italian place).
Starter, main course and delicious dessert whatelse can somebody want.
Compliments to the chef and a place that deserves more respect from the wellknown tourist guides.
