Gh.M. Tattarescu Memorial Museum
Founded in 1953 the collection comprises a rich heritage of paintings, graphics (compositions, portraits, drawings), mural paintings in a neo-Pompeian style, period furniture, personal belongings, and documents. Sketches, pictures, precious books brought by the painter from Italy, two official bulletins from the Revolution of 1848, a sketch for the curtain of the National Theatre, and many exhibits evoking Tattarescu’s activity of painter and pedagogue.
